PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable for hanging a structure excellent in corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: The cross section shape of a strand 13 having steel wires 11 covered with aluminum 12 is formed into a tetragon, a hexagon or an octagon. As a result, the clearance formed between strands 13 are minimized when the plurality of strands 13 are bundled to provide a cable 10 for the hanging structure, and the corrosion resistance is improved by preventing water from penetrating between strands 13.
