PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience by preventing a base from being unnecessarily cooled, and prolonging the time capable of spouting steam concerning a cordless iron for ironing while utilizing residual heat. SOLUTION: This iron is provided with a horizontal detecting means 28 for detecting the horizontal state of a base cover face while having a water channel for supplying water from a water tank 4 to a vaporizing chamber 3 provided on a base 19 and a shielding device 29 for shielding the supply of water from the water tank 4 to the vaporizing chamber 3 corresponding to the output of the horizontal detecting means 28 and when the base face of the main bogy of iron is inclined from the horizontal state more than a prescribed angle, the shielding device 29 is operated by the output from the horizontal detecting means 28 so that the supply of water to the vaporizing chamber 3 can be stopped. |
