1459875 Anchoring screws and nails NEUMANN & CO GmbH 22 March 1974 [22 March 1973] 12812/74 Addition to 1289718 Heading F2H A screw or nail is fixed in a hole by first inserting into the hole a tubular wire mesh or grid insert of robust material for anchoring the screw or nail in the hole, and also a curable or hardenable synthetic resin composition, and then screwing the screw or driving the nail into the hole such that it is gripped by the insert while spaces between the insert and screw or nail extending to the hole are filled with the synthetic resin. The tubular wire mesh or grid may be a plane wire mesh or grid which is rolled into tubular shape, and is preferably made of steel. The curable synthetic resin may be located in a glass vial and positioned within the tubular wire mesh or grid. A hardener for the resin may be located within a glass vial within the vial containing the curable synthetic resin. The method may be used for anchoring screws in bore holes made in sleepers. |
