PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid detergent composition for a house, capable of manifesting a high detergency to the dirt on the surface of floor and wallpaper obtained by using a resin such as a polyvinyl chloride. SOLUTION: This liquid detergent composition for house contains (a) an alkyl ester salt of sulfuric acid in which the number of carbons in the alkyl group is 10-16, and moles of added ethylene oxide are 1-5, (b) an alkyl ester salt of the sulfuric acid in which the number of carbons in the alkyl group is 8, and moles of the added ethylene oxide are 1-5, (c) sodium m- xylenesulfonate, and (d) a diethylene glycol monoalkyl ether in which the number of carbons in the alkyl group is 1-4. The composition contains 0.5-7 pts.wt. total of the components (a) and (b), 1-10 pts.wt. component (c), and 1-10 pts.wt. component (d). The weight ratio of the components (a) and (b) is (1/9)-(9/1).
