PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly open a package by bending the peripheral part of a pair of flanges provided so as to cover both end surfaces of a roll to the circumferential surface side of the roll and adhering it to the peripheral part of the roll, and forming an easily tearable slit line on the bent peripheral part. SOLUTION: A roll 1 of a photosensitive web material such as photographic paper comprises a hollow core 4 consisting of card, a web wound thereon, and an opaque leader 6 mounted on the tip of the web. In the wound state of the web, a pair of flanges 7, 8 is arranged on both ends of the roll 1. Each flange 7, 8 has a center hole having a diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the core 4, and the inside diameter part is folded into the core 4 and adhered to the core 4. A slit line is formed in a ring form on the peripheral part 12 of each flange (end disc) 7, 8, and the peripheral part 12 is folded to the roll circumferential surface side and adhered thereto. According to this, when the leader 6 is released, the peripheral part 12 can be regularly tore from each end disc 7, 8.
