PURPOSE: A color video camera system capable of improving a color reproduction and a resolution by using two black and white and color photoelectric conversion elements is provided. CONSTITUTION: A color video camera system comprising: a lens(300), a taken image being passed through the lens(300); a black and white charge coupled device(315) for receiving an optical image signal passed through the lens(300), converting the optical image signal into a first electric signal, and outputting the first electric image signal as a first image signal; a color charge coupled device(320) for receiving an optical image signal passed through the lens(300), converting the optical image signal into a second electric signal, and outputting the second electric image signal as a second image signal; a prism(305) for changing an angle of the optical image signal so that the optical image signal passed through the lens(300) can exactly input the black and white charge coupled device(315) and color charge coupled device(320); and a camera signal processor(345) for deleting a noise included into the first image signal and filtering the first image signal to output a luminance signal, extracting first and second color difference signal from the second image signal, and outputting an RGB color signal based on the luminance signal and first and second color difference signals.
