PURPOSE: A pen-typed pointing device is provided to conveniently be applied to a personal computer, an internet set top box, an internet TV, and a portable terminal while inputting a simple letter or picture. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a case having a shifter shifting along a trace of note data written on a paper, a position sensor for sensing shifting distance and direction of the shifter, a pressure sensor for sensing pressure variation when a user presses and writes the note data on the paper, and a data transmitter for converting a shifting displacement and the pressure variation into an electrical signal. The pressure sensor is mounted on an upper side of the position sensor mounted on a lower side in the case.
