BUSY/IDLE BIT TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION METHOD IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A busy/idle bit transmission/reception method in mobile communication system is provided to periodically transfer call accessing control information (busy/idle bit) to all the mobile stations in the same cell or sector through a broadcasting channel. CONSTITUTION: This method includes the steps of determining if there is a surplus channel element that a mobile station is not using to receive busy/idle bit a base station transmits through a broadcasting channel while the mobile station is transmitting and receiving data through a traffic channel; using the surplus channel element if there is the surplus element, and using an extra lake finger if there is not surplus element, thus determining the state of busy/idle bit. The present invention can operate channel resources efficiently and provide the good communication quality.
