<p>The molten material (2) is delivered into a rotatable and/or pivotable process vessel (1) which is supplied with an inflating agent (3) in powder form. The molten material and the inflating agent are intensively mixed. Foaming of the molten material takes place as a result of gas generation. The foamed product (11) is removed from the vessel (1), and is cooled down. The claimed apparatus includes a lance shaped unit (5) for delivery of an inflating agent. The unit has outer and inner walls (6,7), with a cooling channel (8) between them.</p> |
