PURPOSE: A switching unit for exchanging devices is provided to accommodate a dual port memory without separate communicating and control memories. CONSTITUTION: The switching unit for exchanging devices comprises: a dual port memory (211) for storing the received multiple signal arrays per channel as well as the channel information data required for switching; a counter(117) for feeding addresses to the dual port memory; a switch (119) for performing the switching operation in accordance with a predetermined control; and a controller(111) for storing data by making access to the dual port memory and controlling the switching movement through reading the data and switching the read data into the desired channel.
