The invention relates to a method of producing a multilayer piezoelectric element. The multilayer comprises layers of piezoelectric synthetic resin material, more specifically PVDF and metal layers, more specifically Al. Under the influence of a heat treatment at increased pressure, the multilayer has been made form-retaining and mechanically stable.
