PURPOSE: A communicator person calling method in a telephone informs the user of a communication request from the counterpart person in a communication standby state in a telephone. CONSTITUTION: A telephone having a ring generator, a voice sensor, and DTMF detector. the communication perform calling method checks (212) whether there is audio signal being input to the receiver in a busy line state. If there is no input audio signal, the method checks (216) whether a predetermined time elapses or not by driving a timer. If the predetermined time elapses, the method checks (218) whether a DTMF signal is detected or not in the DTMF detector. If the DTMF signal is detected, the method checks (222) whether there is audio signal input of the receiver in a predetermined time. If there is no audio signal input, the method generates (226) a ring signal by controlling a ring generator.
