PURPOSE: An error detection device and method of accounting memory is provided to repair an address short and prevent an error using a RAM which easily performs reading, writing and removing. CONSTITUTION: The error detection device and method of accounting memory comprises the step of opening a /CS and OE and Vpp terminal of EPROM which is connected by a switch; determining a instruction of test for EPROM; recording a number of address of RAM while test instruction is inputted and the address is shorted, wherein the address of RAM is same the address of EPROM; reading the address after recoding; comparing the recorded value and the red value; and displaying the address if the recorded value is not same with the red value.
