PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of erroneous recognition of a food weight due to deficient regulation of the output of a weight sensor. SOLUTION: A high frequency heating device having a weight sensor 1 comprises a zero point regulating means 2 to decide reference point data; a change amount regulating means 3 to decide change amount data of the output of the weight sensor by exerting a load of a specified weight on reference point data; a data initializing means 4 to decide initial reference point data and initial change amount; and a nonvolatile memory device 5 storing each data. During charging of a power source, collation is performed respectively between the reference point data and the change amount data, and the initial reference point data and the initial change amount data. By arranging a control device 7 to effect announcement, indicating deficiency of regulation, by an annunciator 6 when, in even either thereof, data coincides with each other, when deficiency in regulation of the output of the weight sensor 1 occurs, regulation deficiency is detected at a point of time when a power source is charged and a failure in auto cooking of a food is prevented from occurring.
