PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut off electrical path at a low cost, even if an overcurrent flows through the path by opening a switch to cut off the path with a coil exciting current to be cut off, when a cut off signal from the switch of the detecting circuit if an overcurrent flows in the path. SOLUTION: When an overcurrent flows in a path 1, a movable iron piece 3 is attracted by a fixed yoke 2 with a magnetic field formed between the fixed yoke 2 and a gap 19 of the movable iron piece 3. When the attracting force becomes larger than the energizing force of a recovery spring 4, the movable iron piece 3 starts the rotating movement around a cutout portion 2A toward the fixed yoke 2. With this rotating movement, by causing an operation pin 5 and an operation button 18 of the switch 6 to operate, a coil exciting current circuit 26 is but off because the circuit in the switch 6, for example, is opened. That is, the coil exciting current circuit 26 is cut off with a cut off signal from the switch 6. Therefore, a current flowing into the coil is cup off and the switch open, thereby an overcurrent flowing to the path 1 is cut off.
