PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sample blood plasma/serum from whole blood without arranging any pressure difference by constructing a filter material by layering glass fiber, a microporous film, and a water-absorbing material. SOLUTION: Glass fiber, a microporous film, and a water-absorbing material are layered and formed into a filter material. A volume of the glass fiber filter layer is about 0.01-3.0 ml, and a desirable volume is 0.05-0.5 ml. This volume can be decided in compliance with a quantity of whole blood as a sample or a demanding quantity of serum/plasma obtained by filtration. As the micro- porous film, a cellulose acetate film, a polysulfone film and the like are available. As the water-absorbing material arranged beneath the microporous film for receiving filtrated serum/plasma, a glass fiber filter paper sheet, a nonwoven fabric, a water-absorbing polymer and the like are available.
