CACHE MEMORY SYSTEM AND ITS OPERATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cache misses and to improve the performance of a memory system. SOLUTION: The cache memory system is provided with a 1st auxiliary storage element 42 for storing 1st information extracted from much information stored in a lower memory element 48 to be referred to by a central control part 40 and a 2nd auxiliary storage element 44 for storing 2nd information including the 1st information. The 1st or 2nd information is selectively read out from the element 48 in accordance with a state that information to be referred to is stored in the element 42 or the element 44 or another 1st information not including the information to be referred to is stored in the element 42 or not and the read information is selectively stored in the element 42 or the element 44.
