PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic equipment hinge pivoting control mechanism which is capable of keeping a pivoted case at a fixed position if necessary, enabling a pivoted case kept at a fixed position to be mounted with an object on its upside, and making a pivoted case fixed at several positions while it is turned. SOLUTION: This hinge pivoting control mechanism is attached to an electronic equipment composed of a PDA (portable data terminal equipment) main body 1 and a hard cover 4 mounted on the PDA main body 1 through the intermediary of a hinge plate 5 and a hinge shaft, and the hard cover 4 is kept at a fixed positions as it pivots on the hinge shaft. In this case, a plate 8 that can be moved by an operator is provided in the hard cover 4, and the plate 8 is moved and inserted into an insertion hole 141 provided to the PDA main body 1 when the hard cover 4 is fixed at a certain position.
