PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection type liquid crystal display device high in the availability of light and capable of obtaining a bright screen display by providing the device with the function for converging external light to the position of an observer as much as possible out of the external light incident on the reflection type liquid crystal display while keeping the advantage of the reflection type liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: In this reflection type liquid crystal display device having at least a substrate of an observer's side 1 comprising a transparent substrate on which a transparent electrode 4 for driving liquid crystal is located, a substrate of the rear side 10 comprising a substrate on which a light reflecting film 9 and a transparent electrode for driving liquid crystal corresponding to the previously described transparent electrode are laminated, liquid crystal 5 held between both substrates and a light scattering film located between both of the substrates, the light scattering film 21 is composed of micro lenses 2 plurally located on the area of each pixel part non-pixel part and a flattening layer 3 covering the micro lenses 2, and the micro lenses are located in a plane so as to be made close-packed. |
