PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform satisfactory image processing by exactly discriminating the presence/absence of a through part in a photographed image. SOLUTION: Concerning this image discriminating method, based on the fact that the through part (such as an area directly irradiated with the radiation by a sensor) appears at the terminal part of the irradiated area without fail in the photographed image provided by photodetecting the radiation through an object with the sensor and the density value of the through part is high in the irradiated area, a discriminating means 133 discriminates the presence/ absence of the through part from the appearance frequency of the density value determined from the characteristic value (such as maximum density value) of the entire photographed image at the terminal part of the irradiated area. |
