PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid stopper device for an electronic equipment, where the stopper device is capable of holding the lid at, an open position by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A lid stopper device is provided inside a lid 2 that can be freely opened or closed in a vertical direction to hold the lid 2 at an open position. The stopper device is composed of a stay 8 whose one end is releasably supported by a stay support member 7 attached to the openable lid 2 and that is capable of pivoting freely from an out-of-use position to an in-use position by its own weight, a stay receiver 15 that is provided by the side of the stay support member 7 and fastens the stay 8 at an in-use position, and a guide member 9 that is provided adjacent to the support part of the stay 8, set movable in a vertical direction, and made to fall down by its own weight to fix the stay 8 at an in-use position when the stay 8 is dismounted from the stay receiver 15 and made to pivot to an in-use position by its own weight. By this setup, the stay 8 can be fixed at an in-use position only by detaching it from the stay receiver 15, so that a complicated operation can be dispensed with.
