PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute distortion adjustment only for one side of the right or left side of a screen by controlling the right-left symmetrical distortion correction quantity and right-left identical distortion correction quantity so as to offset both the correction quantities. SOLUTION: The output voltage of a voltage-controlled amplifier 23 is inputted to a horizontal size control circuit 31 through an adder 29, to execute side pin correction for modulating a horizontally deflected current by a vertical parabolic wave. The output voltage of a voltage-controlled amplifier 25 is also inputted to the circuit 31 through the adder 29, to execute torapezoidal distortion correction by modulating the horizontal deflection current by a vertical sawtooth wave and further, the output voltage of a voltage-controlled amplifier 24 is inputted to a horizontal display position control circuit 32 via an adder 30 to correct bow distortion. In the case of right/left independent distortion correction, e.g. after right side bow distortion correction quantity necessary for offsetting left side correction due to right side pin distortion correction is calculated, the right bow distortion is corrected, based on the calculated correction quantity. |
