METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COLLECTING OPERATION EVENT LOGS IN NC MACHINING

A method and apparatus for extracting as operation event logs modifications made to NC programs used for numerically controlling machine tools. After an NC program has been written until actual machining is performed, experiences obtained at work shops or the results of trial machining are reflected in modifying the program. Through such modifications an optimum NC program can be obtained. These modifications are extracted from the NC program as operation event logs and built into a database. The operation event log database is reflected in the preparation of future NC programs with similar conditions.
