[Also in Division G4] Welding rods 40 are fed by a first belt conveyer 42 to fall from the edge 23 of a run-up table 18 so activating a photo-cell 22. The rods fall into a container 26<SP>1</SP> carried by a second belt conveyer 43. When a predetermined number has been counted at 45 a control device 46 energizes an electromagnet 49 to deflect a plate 28 so that the rods fall into the next container 2611. At the same time motor 53 is energized to drive the conveyer so that container 2611 takes the original position of 26<SP>1</SP> just as electromagnet releases and plate 28 resumes vertical position. The conveyer 42 comprises two bands 10, 30 guided by rollers 16, 17 on driven shaft 15. Feed rollers 11, 13 have a foam rubber covering. |
