A solid electrolyte matrix production process comprises forming stalks from a solid electrolyte foil with electrodes. A solid electrolyte matrix is in the form of 0.28-10.0 mm diameter solid electrolyte stalks produced by forming a planar, structured, pleated or dished, plastic bipolar solid electrolyte foil with electrodes to stalks of 0.28-10.0 mm diameter and of 0.03-3.0 m length, e.g. of grass blade or corn stalk form. Preferred Features: ceramic, sol-gel, collagen, protein, gelatin, urea or starch foils may be folded to stalk (e.g. cigarette) form or wound to spiral tube form, granules may be extruded to a drinking straw form or a ceramic slip may be cast to straw form. The fuel cell current is supplied to electric motor driven wheels fitted with rubber tires. |
