MONOBLOCK BATTERY ASSEMBLY

A multiple cell monoblock battery (1) in which a plurality of electrochemica l cells (3) are disposed in a plastic or metal case and each of the cells includes an enclosure (11) providing for gas to exit while preventing electrolyte to exit the enclosure. A novel integral system of flow channels (109) allows liquid coolant to flow between adjacent cells. Other special features, such as cell interconnections (15a and 15b) are described.
