A system for clearing mist from a vehicle windows 14 and 16 is disclosed. The system comprises mist clearing means operable to clear mist from the vehicle window 14 and 16, control means 48 for controlling operation of the mist clearing means, and viewing means 22 arranged to view a scene through the window 14 and 16 and form an image thereof. The control means is arranged to determine from said image when misting of the windows 14 and 16 has occurred and, when it has so determined, to operate the mist clearing means. |
