PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject system designed to compost organic wastes such as garbage produced approximately at a constant level everyday through efficient fermentation without the need of using any manpower. SOLUTION: This system is made up of the following elements: a square fermentation tank 10 having many parallel lanes 11 for containing compost stocks parallel ridge-fashion, garter frames 17 stoppable on the respective lanes, a rake-up and traverse feed dropping device 20, a tripper conveyor 50 for dropping and ridging the stocks over the whole length of the 1st lane, and a stock charging device 41; wherein the rake-up and traverse feed dropping device 20 acts as follows: stocks as the ridge 1 on a lane are raked up, small amounts of the stocks is dropped on the original lane, most of the remaining stocks is fed transversely and dropped on the next neighboring lane, stocks as the ridge on the final lane are raked up, small amounts of the stocks is dropped on the final lane, and most of the remaining stocks is dropped on a discharge conveyor 13 provided along the outside of one sidewall of the fermentation tank adjacent to the final lane.
