PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install an on-vehicle air purifier in automobiles with no rear tray. SOLUTION: The air purifier 1 is of a type wherein its casing 2 is set on the floor of an automobile between the driver's and front passenger seats The casing 2 is shaped generally into a rectangular parallelepiped with longitudinal sides set along the automobile longitudinal axis in plan and lateral sides set shorter than the height. The casing 2 has an inlet port 11 in its front, a vent port in its back, and an internal air duct leading from the inlet port 11 to the vent port. The casing 2 is also internally mounted with a dust-collecting filter, a pair of photocatalyst carriers, a light source and a blower arranged downstream in this order. A tray can be optionally mounted on top of the casing 2. This constitution provides a higher air purifying capacity according to a wide interior of vans.
