PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge and a tape-printing apparatus with the same whereby a let-off end part of a printing tape is prevented from being drawn into a cartridge case even if the printing tape is apt to be loosened. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a cartridge case 31, a printing tape 100 stored in the cartridge case 31 in a state while wound in a roll to be let off from a printing apparatus main body to be supplied for printing, and an inverse travel-blocking mechanism for blocking an inverse travel of the printing tape 100. The inverse travel-blocking mechanism is formed in an inner face of the cartridge case 31, and consists of wedge-like wall parts 48, 49 and 52 which have two blocking walls 48, 52 of an acute angle to an inverse travel direction facing a let-off route for the printing tape 100 and constitute a schematically wedge-like space 60 in plan view and, a rolling contactor 61 loosely fitted and stored in the wedge-like wall parts 48, 49, 52 which comes in touch with the printing tape 100 in accordance with the forward, inverse travel of the printing tape 100 and moves rolling.
