<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo-charger capable of spreading an operating region to a lower flow amount side by intensifying a circulation flow. SOLUTION: In a turbo-charger 1 provided with an impeller 2 driven to rotate by an exhaust turbine and a casing 3 receiving the impeller 2, a circulation flow path 12 having an inlet 10 in a position opposed to a leading edge 9 of the impeller 2 also an outlet 11 in the upstream from the impeller 2 is formed in the casing 3. Energy generated when air flows to hit the leading edge 9 of the impeller 2 to be sprung back is applied to the inlet 10 of the circulation flow path 12 a circulation flow 24 is generated by the energy thus applied. Since the circulation flow 24 is generated by utilizing energy caused by a collision loss of a flow in the leading edge 9, the circulation flow can be intensified as compared with a type in the past generating the circulation flow based on a difference of pressure between the inlet 10 and the outlet 11.</p> |
