PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method for easily producing a feed additive composition for ruminant whose preparation is excellent in its biological properties (protective property in the rumen and dissolution property in the abomasum). SOLUTION: Granules are formed by homogeneously mixing (a) amino acids, (b) an oily binding agent having a melting point of 40 deg.C or more and (c) water needed for extrusion granulation, and subjecting the obtained mixture to the extrusion granulation at the melting point of said oily binding agent; or by homogeneously mixing (a) amino acids and (b) an oily binding agent having a melting point of 40 deg.C or more, feeding the obtained homogeneous powdery mixture into an extrusion granulator and granulating it at the melting point of said oily binding agent while spraying (c) water before a die. The obtained granules are dried, and if needed or optionally, the surfaces of the dried granules are coated with an oil-and-fat coating agent to produce granules having a percentage of void of 20% or less. |
