PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce satellites at the ejection of liquid. SOLUTION: A liquid in a liquid passage 10 is heated by a heating resistor 2 to generate a bubble 40 and a movable member 31 is deformed by the bubble 40 to be contacted to a stopper 64, thereby ejecting the liquid from an ejection nozzle 18. After that, while the movable member 31 is going to be in the deformed condition before the vibration of the movable member 31 which is restored to its initial condition is attenuated due to the contraction of the bubble 40, the heating resistor 2 is driven again to generate a bubble 40. As a time-lag between generating/growing of the bubble 40 and deformation of the movable member 31 is reduced, an interval from starting of the contraction of the bubble 40 to releasing of the closing in the upstream side of the liquid passage 10 by the movable member 31 is reduced and a time period in rapid receding of a meniscus M is reduced so that a thin part 68 in a tail section between an ejected drop 66 and the meniscus is markedly shortened. As a result, only the thin part becomes the separated part, thereby preventing occurrence of a satellite 67. |
