Electronic digital micrometer composed of a frame fitted with a measuring anvil, a measuring rod, a guide mechanism, a clamp, a coupling, an insulating cover and a measuring capacitive transducer with a digital display, in which the axis of the rod (9) of the coupling (10) is located crosswise to the axis of the measuring rod (6), preferably at the right angle to the orthogonal projection of the axis of the measuring rod (6) on the plane π going through the axis of the measuring rod (9) and parallel to the axis of the measuring rod (6); on the measuring rod (9), there is a pinion (8) geared with a linear toothed bar (7) mounted on the measuring rod (6) along its axis.
