PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic sorting apparatus and a plastic sorting method for sorting crushed refuse of plastic fragments to be sorted into respective types. SOLUTION: Even being mixed with a plurality of types of plastic fragments 1, a specified type of plastic fragments 1 are reliably recovered by adding, as an auxiliary material 21 for triboelectrification, the specified type of plastic fragments 1 to be recovered in the inside of a triboelectrification apparatus 3 and making difference of electrostatic charging quantities of the plastic fragments 1 to be recovered and other plastic fragments by stirring different types of plastic fragments 1. The auxiliary material 21 for triboelectrification is collected by a mesh body 17, cooled by a cooling means 18 for avoiding a bad influence on polarity of the plastic fragments 1, and turned back to the triboelectrification apparatus 3 to be reused.
