PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly nip grass, wood or the like and cut them by using the whole rotary blade effectively. SOLUTION: This cutting device is equipped with a circular rotary blade 1, a fixed guide 6 of striplike shape which is arranged in the diametral direction of the rotary blade 1 and is longer than the diameter of the rotary blade 1, a pair of sectoral movable guides 7, 8 which cover a part of the rotary blade 1 respectively on both sides of the fixed guide 6 and are rotatable centered around the rotating pivot of the rotary blade 1, spring members 11,13 which elastically press each of movable guides 7, 8 in the rotating direction of the rotary blade 1 respectively and stoppers 14, 15 which stop the rotary tip side of each of the movable guides 7, 8 pressed elastically by each of the spring members 11, 13 at respective positions remote from the fixed guide 6.
