PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape-printing apparatus into which a tape cassette storing a large-breadth tape inside can be loaded simply and from which a tape with characters can be discharged easily without clogging at a tape discharge port formed on a side wall of an apparatus main body. SOLUTION: A cassette set part 13 is arranged with an inclination of a predetermined angleαin a range of 10-30 deg. to a bottom wall 8 of an apparatus main body 2. A side wall of the apparatus main body 2 is inclined to the bottom wall 8 by an angleγwhich is a supplementary angle to a formation angleβobtuse to the bottom wall 8. A tape discharge port 10 for a tape T with characters is formed on the side wall. Moreover, when a tape cassette 6 is loaded into the cassette set part 13 and an open lid 3 is closed, a tape specification display part 7 is opposed to a see-through window 5, so that the tape specification display part can be seen via the see-through window from the outside of the apparatus main body 2.
