PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip removing cover capable of preventing intrusion of chips below a telescopic cover lowered and inclined toward the table side from the column side and allowing smooth telescopic movement of its constitutional member. SOLUTION: A telescopic cover 7 lowered and inclined toward the side of a table 5 from a column 3 is provided above a guide surface 2a between the table 5 and the column 3. Additionally, at least two guide bars provided in parallel through each of members constituting the telescopic cover 7 and a chip intrusion preventive plate 10 to prevent intrusion of chips between the telescopic cover 7 and the guide surface from the side as well as installed on this guide cover in such a way as to trail from the guide bar are provided in the telescopic direction of the telescopic cover 7.
