PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer of a low melting point excellent in blocking resistance and low-temperature heat-seal properties and having less tackiness by using a catalyst comprising a solid component essentially containing Mg, Ti, a halogen and an electron donor an organic aluminum compound and an organic silicon compound to obtain a copolymer having designated physical properties. SOLUTION: A copolymer is obtained which has an ethylene content of 0.5-10 wt.%, a melting point of 120-150 deg.C, a crystallization temperature of 75-115 deg.C a melt flow rate (according to JIS K-6758, 230 deg.C, 2.16 kg) of 0.1-10 g/10 min, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) as measured by gel permeation chromatography(GPC) of 6-30, a xylene soluble matter at 20 deg.C of 1-10 wt.% and a bulk density of 0.2-0.5 g/cc. A compound of formula I or II is used as an organic silicon compound.
