PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain in good productivity a plate material which can give a face plate excellent in transparency, flame retardancy, impact resistance, fabricability, heat resistance, etc. by mixing a polyester resin obtained by polycondensing a dicarboxylic acid condensible component comprising at least one terephthalic acid component with a glycol condensible component in a specified ratio with a polycarbonate resin in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This plate material comprises 60-80 pts.wt. polyester resin and 40-20 pts.wt. polycarbonate resin. The polyester resin has, in its structure, repeating units represented by the formula and obtained by polycondensing a dicarboxylic acid condensible component comprising at least either terephthalic acid or its derivative with a glycol condensible component containing at least 40 mol.% 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol. It is desirable that the terephthalic acid components constitutes at least 95 mol.% of the entire dicarboxylic acid condensible component.
