PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool for housing a fishing rod, capable of readily housing a swinging fishing rod in a short time by one person and not damaging the rod and a guide, because the rod body having a narrow diameter and the tip is surely be nipped. SOLUTION: A pair of rod-like dividing bodies 2 constituting an auxiliary tool for housing a fishing rod is formed in semi-circular shape having 7 mm radius made of a material, e.g. rubber, synthetic resin, bamboo or cood, and the outer face having protruded curve is formed as a holding face 2A and the inside face of plane is formed as an opposing face 2B. The pair of rod-like dividing bodies is equipped with a connecting part 3 and a skid-proof part 4 extensively openably connected by integrally covering the dividing bodies 2 with a flexible sheet material for non-slip. A recessed groove 5A for nipping forming a fishing rod-nipping part is formed in longitudinal direction on the opposite face 2B of each rod-like dividing body 2 and a non-slip member 6 made of a rubber sheet is attached to the inner face.
