Phenyl or pyridyl substituted propionamide derivatives of formula (I) and their salts are new. Ar = phenyl or pyridyl optionally substituted by 1-3 alkyl, halo, alkoxy, NO2, NH2, NH2CH2, CN, CF3, -NHCONH2 or CO2R1; R1 = H or 1-7C alkyl, 3-7C cycloalkyl; R8 = H; or R1+R8 = 3-7C cycloalkyl; R2 = H, 1-8C alkyl or 3-8C cycloalkyl; R9 = H; or R2+R9 = 3-7C cycloalkyl; Ar1 = Ar, pyridyl-N-oxide, indolyl, pyridyl or imidazolyl; R4-R7 = H or Me; R3 = Ar, H, OH, NMe2, N-methyl-pyrrole or a group of formula (i)-(iii); Ar2 = phenyl or pyridyl, optionally substituted by 1 or 2 Cl, isopropyl, NO2 or CN; X = Me or CF3; n, m, q = 0-1; p = 0-3; and r, s = 0-2. |
