PURPOSE:To make equivalent word of a word used in a translation usable when the nuance of the word used in a translation is to be changed by treating the adverbial word which is used as the equivalent word and added with the conjugation of an adjunct as the equivalent word when the word or clause which is subjected to the equivalent word processing is an adverb. CONSTITUTION:An original sentence inputted from an input section 1 composed of a keyboard, etc., is sent to an original sentence storing section 2. A translating section 3 performs translating processes at every prescribed processing unit on the original sentence in the section 2 on the basis of the information of a translation dictionary section 5 under the control of an edition control section 4 and successively stores processed results in a translated sentence storing section 6. When an equivalent word processing is selected, the section 4 treats the adverbial word which is used as an equivalent word and added with the conjugation of an adjunct as the equivalent when the word or clause which is subjected to the equivalent word processing is an adverb. Therefore, when a user wants to express a delicate nuance by using the conjugated ending of an adverb, the user can perform the equivalent word processing without using any dictionary for registration, since the user can select an equivalent word containing the conjugated ending of the adverb. |
