PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can mouth closing device and its method of manufacture in which a high air-tightness for the contents is assured and its initial use can be recognized by a less-expensive closing material. SOLUTION: A can mouth closing device si constructed such that a top wall 41 is made to be freely protruded or retracted, a cap 40 having a resilient hook piece with a resilient hook piece 42 at a side wall is installed at a can port 30, a synthetic resin packing 10 having resiliency is arranged between an upper end arcuate section 31 of the can mouth 30 and the top wall 41 of the cap 40 having the resilient hook piece, a V-shaped groove is arranged between an inner protrusion mountain-shaped segment and an outer protrusion mountain-shaped segment is the upper surface side of a peripheral section 12 of the packing 10 and formed in such a way that it may be abutted against the lower surface of the top wall 41 of the cap 40 having the resilient hook piece, an inverse V-shaped groove is arranged between a conical expanded section 12a and an outer hanging section 12d at a lower surface of the top wall 41 of the cap 40 having the resilient hook piece so as to hold the conical arcuate section 31 of the can mouth 30. A thin disk-like metallic foil closing member 20 coated with synthetic resin film is arranged at the lower surface between the peripheral edge 12 of the packing 10 and the upper end arcuate section 31 of the can port 30, and the closing member 20 is deformed along the upper surface arcuate plate of the upper end arcuate section 31 of the can mouth 30 and adhered there. |
