摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a uniform heat-sensitive recording layer by a method wherein a coated surface is dried by irradiating infrared rays or electromagnetic waves having a specified frequency after the coating of a coating liquid for the heat-sensitive recording layer. SOLUTION: The wavelength of infrared rays is about 0.8 μm-1 mm, preferably about 1.0-3.0 μm. If the coating liquid for a heat-sensitive recording layer is water-based one and the infrared rays with the wavelength below 1.0 μm or above 3 μm are applied, the instantaneous vaporization of the water in the coated surface becomes difficult, resulting in developing the fear of no formation of a uniform heat-sensitive recording layer. An electromagnetic wave with the frequency 2 MHz-5 MHz ordinarily belongs to a region used in a high frequency drier or a microwave oven. If the electromagnetic wave with the frequency below 2 MHz is applied, the fixation of the coated surface becomes difficult. If the wave with the frequency about 5 MHz is applied, a fear for the development of a ground haziness in the heat-sensitive recording layer result. As the coating liquid for the heat-sensitive recording layer, there is no special limitation. A thickness, at which a strong effect is obtained, is about 10-100 g/m2. If the thickness exceeds 100 g/m2, a fear of no formation of a uniform heat-sensitive recording layer occurs.
