PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably supply a high-quality image whose service life is long by preventing the occurrence of image defect caused by the leak of an electrophotographic photoreceptor in a direct electrifying system. SOLUTION: This device is constituted so that an image is formed by applying an image forming process including a stage for electrifying processing the surface of a body to be electrified by an electrifying processing means to the body to be electrified. In such a case, the body to be electrified is the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a surface layer including a silicone defoaming agent on a conductive supporting body, and the electrifying processing means for the body to be electrified is a direct electrifying device for electrifying the surface of the body to be electrified while making the electrifying member 2 to which voltage is applied abut on the body to be electrified.
