PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a wavelet transformer capable of fast processing. SOLUTION: This transformer is provided with a storing part 102 consisting of a shift register 102 capable of shifting data in the directions of rows and columns, a line memory 104 for temporarily retaining a part of data for writing to a storing part, a filter part 101 for horizontal processing and vertical processing of wavelet transformation, a row direction control part 106 for controlling row direction access to a storing part, a columnar direction control part 108 for controlling columnar direction access to the storing part, and a main control part 100 which controls writing and reading of data, with respect to the storing part through the row-direction control part and the column- direction control part, controlling the wiring and reading of data with respect to the line memory and controlling the writing and reading of data with respect to an external memory 110, to successively execute wavelet transforming processing for at least one level in the inside. |
