PURPOSE: A dust filter bag provides a high filtering effecting, that is, high separating effect. CONSTITUTION: The dust filter bag comprises fiber layers(4)(5) laminated with a paper layer(2). The fiber layers(4)(5) are composed of a synthetic polymer fiber and arranged on a purifying gas side(3) of the paper layer(2). The dust filter bag includes a polymer region(9) formed from a melt of the fiber layers(4)(5) and having a welding area of 0.5 to 10 percents of the surface. The polymer region(9) is self-hardened and combined with the paper layer(2). The length and/or width of the polymer region(9) are increased by at least 1 millimeter. The polymer region(9) has a smaller thickness than the overlying paper layer(2) and the underlying fiber layers(4)(5), especially than the paper layer(2) located in the outside of the polymer region(9).
