PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the omission of necessary countermeasure with respect to faults caused in the system or duplicating countermeasures with respect to one and the same fault in the case that maintenance people in existence at plural points monitor the same system. SOLUTION: Plural maintenance persons conduct the monitoring of the fault state of a monitor object system 1 the fault of which is autonomously attained, by using a monitor controller 2 and a monitor terminal 3 connected via an information transfer network 6. A maintenance person that countermeasures the fault declares to the other maintenance persons that he will countermeasure the fault (called fault recognition). Then when the fault recognition is conducted by plural maintenance persons nearly at the same time, the monitor controller 2 centrally manages the recognition information and validates the fault recognition by only one person. Thus, the maintenance persons other than the maintenance person who is taking countermeasures on the fault can recognize the countermeasure state of the fault.
