The elastic garment interlining, and especially a fusible interlining, has a carrier composed of multicomponent fibres, using at least two different polymers. Preferably the fibres are bicomponent fibres, using different polymers of polyester, polyamide, or polyacrylnitrile, or their mixtures. The fibres can be mixtures of polyester, polyamide, polyacrylnitrile, viscose, cotton or wool. They can be combined with additional texturised staple fibres of polyester, polyamide, polyacrylnitrile, viscose, cotton, wool, or their mixtures. The fibres have a length of 15-400 mm and a thickness of 0.5-12.0 dtex. The carrier is a woven, knitted or nonwoven fabric. In a woven structure, the warps and wefts are multicomponent fibres in mixtures with polyester, polyamide, polyacrylnitrile, viscose, cotton or wool. Or the warps are of texturised or untexturised polyester yarns, and the wefts are of multicomponent fibres of polyester with, if required, mixtures with polyester, polyamide, polyacrylnitrile, viscose, wool or cotton. Where the carrier is knitted, the warps are of polyamide or polyester texturised or untexturised filaments. |
